Terms of Service for BGvACC Discord Bot

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the BGvACC Discord Bot ("the Bot"), operated and maintained by BGvACC through bgvacc.org ("the Website"). By using the Bot, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Bot.

1. Eligibility

  • You must be a registered member of VATSIM and comply with its Code of Conduct and Code of Regulations.
  • Use of the Bot requires a valid Discord account.
  • By using the Bot, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old (or meet the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction).

2. Purpose of the Bot

The Bot is provided as a tool to facilitate communication, coordination, and access to information within the BGvACC Discord server. The Bot may provide automated messages, role assignments, event notifications, and integration with bgvacc.org.

3. Acceptable Use

When using the Bot, you agree:

  • Not to misuse the Bot for spam, abuse, or disruptive behavior.
  • Not to attempt to reverse-engineer, exploit, or interfere with the operation of the Bot.
  • To respect other members of the community and follow the Discord Community Guidelines.
  • To only use the Bot for purposes related to BGvACC and VATSIM.

4. Data Collection and Privacy

  • The Bot may process limited information from your Discord account, such as username, Discord ID, and server roles.
  • The Bot may also log actions necessary for moderation and operational purposes.
  • All data handling follows the BGvACC Privacy Policy.
  • No personal data will be shared with third parties unless required by law.

5. Availability and Service Changes

  • The Bot is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
  • BGvACC reserves the right to add, modify, or remove features at any time without prior notice.
  • BGvACC may suspend or terminate the Bot’s services in cases of maintenance, abuse, or technical issues.

6. Termination of Access

  • BGvACC reserves the right to restrict or revoke your access to the Bot if you violate these Terms, Discord’s Terms of Service, or the VATSIM Code of Conduct.
  • You may stop using the Bot at any time by leaving the server or disabling it for your account.

7. Limitation of Liability

BGvACC, its staff, and affiliates are not liable for any damages or losses arising from the use of the Bot. The Bot is provided as a community service and without any warranties of reliability or availability.

8. Amendments

BGvACC may update these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted on bgvacc.org. Continued use of the Bot after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
